Lisa + Greg
|

Happy Halloween Everyone!! Hope your evening was filled with lots of ghouls, goblins, fairies, and ninjas!!
For this evening, I am thrilled to share Lisa and Greg's gorgeous wedding! I promise there isn't any parallels with their wedding and halloween, and despite it being fright night, they deserve some spotlight! Greg and Lisa's wedding was at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro, NC. Talk about an absolutely fabulous venue. Their suite was amazing, the location for their ceremony was heart stopping-ly, breath-taken-ly, really there are no words, and the reception was well, it was just gorgeous! SO, get ready for some fabulousness! ;)
I will have to say one of my absolutely favorite parts of the day was when Lisa walked down the aisle, they played ColdPlay's, Till Kingdom Come, they let the song play for about a good minute beofre Lisa actually walked down the aisle. It made for an awesome entrance. I almost wanted to stand and applaud my heart was so excited!!
My second favorite part was our pitt stop in downtown greensboro, there was this awesome old bookstore, the kind where there are tons and tons of old and new books, so many books that they were piles on the floor. What a great place for photos!!
In my posting, we go through the photos, and narrow down our favs, and then narrow down again, and then narrow down again... well, i have to say this was my worst attempt in narrowing down. What that means is it took me a couple hours to put this post together, but it means lots of photos for you!! ;) So, firstly I apologize for the long post, but after looking through it, you will see how hard it would have been to cute one of these out! ;)
All that said, Lisa and Greg, what a joy it was to spend the day with you two! You both have amazing friends and family, and Kim and I were so thankful to have been able to be a part of recording such a beautiful moment. Like on your family's photo table, I can only hope when your children's children look back at these photos, they know how creative, thoughtful, and how much in love you two were... and are! Much joy to you both!

Christie + Seth

Herty Field was the original on-campus playing venue for football at the University of Georgia. It opened in the Fall of 1891 and hosted it's first football game that winter. This Fall of 2008, it hosted Christie and Seth's wedding!
This awesome couple loves UGA and they LOVE UGA football! They even made sure to get married on a weekend the team had an away game!! It was only natural that they were married on Herty Field where it all started. The field and all the gardens surrounding it were the perfect setting for such a fabulous couple!
Christie and Seth, It was such a great treat to photograph your wedding! We loved every minute of your day and wish you two and both your families nothing but happiness!! Oh, and Go Dawgs!
Enjoy!

New Orleans Day two!
|

Hi Friends!! Happy Monday!!
a couple of announcements we wanted to share!
First- we have 3 spots left for our mini session this Sunday, November 2, at Marietta Square. So, if you are interested, send us an email- we would love to have you!!
Second, we wanted to remind everyone that the last day to have an album order placed in time to receive it for Christmas is November 15th. Your Holiday cards and canvas prints by December 7th.
Lastly, we wanted to make sure you knew that we are able to create gift certificates! If you would like to get someone a session, prints, their show, canvases, but don't know which things to get!?! A gift certificate lets them pick what they would love the most!! AMP Certificates are fabulous! I know I would want one! hee hee!
So, enough announcements, and now to photos!
I hate that I hadn't been able to post these photos sooner! While we were in New Orleans, our second day workshop was with the ever famous Jessica Claire. I was actually really pleasantly surprised because I was worried with our class being so huge that we wouldn't really get much out of it- but Jessica was super nice, and shared so much with each of us. And I can tell it was important for her to make sure she talked with each and everyone of us!
We learned a lot about our photography as a business, workflow, faster paced shooting, finding great natural light. During our shooting session, the class split up into 3 groups- one group shooting action, one group shooting to find the one shot that would represent our style, and then one group shooting with Jessica- to learn some of hear techniques and shooting style.
I myself learned that it really is difficult being a second shooter (not a lead)- and appreciate Kim and the angles she finds so much more! I also became really confident in finding great light, so all in all it was a wonderful experience!
Below are the photos from the group that represented our style! Kim and I were in different groups, and I really wanted you to see what i got and what she got!! ;) I think it is really cool to see how when even when we aren't together, that the photos still flow!! Pretty cool about a photography team, I think!! ;)
Hope you enjoy!

Candice + Matthew

Hi there!! I hope all of you are having a fabulous Tuesday!
I am so excited to get to post Candice and Matthew's photos! It's only been a few weeks since we were in Maryland, but it seems like forever ago that we were there. I think this month was a blur for Alea and me due to all the fun trips we've been on :)
Candice and Matthew live all the way up north! To be honest though, I can't keep it all straight. We actually flew into D.C, drove to Maryland for the wedding, but they live in West Virginia..... Everything is so close together up there!! Once we found our way, we made the right turn into the driveway. We drove until we reached the top where we found the most amazing view! It was so beautiful and the perfect place for a wedding! I think my favorite part of the entire night though was their wedding favors. Candice shared with everyone in a sweet note that one of the first things that she fell in love with was Matthew's tiny laugh lines around his eyes and that she knew he was a man that she could laugh and be silly with. With the note, she included a yoyo, a fake mustache and several other funny things that would remind people to be silly and have fun in life! I totally agree!!
Candice and Matthew - Thank you both so much for bringing us all the way up north :) Alea and I had so much FUN at your wedding and we are so excited to share with you all the wonderful things we captured on your day!!
Enjoy!

Gainey Fam!

Hi Friends!
Hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday! We are certainly enjoying this great fall weather, I can't believe halloween is just a couple weeks, thanksgiving is just over a month, and christmas is 6 days 8 hours 48 minutes away.... whew! When i walk outside and see the leaves changing- I still can't believe it is mid October. It still feels like mid July! hahaha.. oh well, maybe the seasons will catch up in my head!
I am so excited to share my family session with the Gainey Family!! After every family session, I know my parents are thinking, "I hope that Alea atleast got one good one." Kids are kids, and even though taking pictures is important to mom and dad, they don't really understand that sometimes and well, continue being kids! :) But, to me, I love it when kids stay true to who they are! I get to capture every mood of their day, and it is wonderful! Those are the photos that when you look back in 10-15-20 years, will hopefully remind you of the very people they were then! The Gainey girls will melt your heart, and I always promise there will be more then just one....
A little shout out to Michelle, she is a fabulous event planner and owns Lemiga Events! So, if you are ever looking for someone to ROCK your event, give her a hollar!!
Happy monday!
