Oh, Christmas tree!

Hi there!
So, one of my most favorite times of the year is getting our christmas trees! Years past we have gone with our dear friends the womacks to random christmas tree selling places to pick out our tree, so we have created a little tradition of going together! This year we went to a farm way up somewhere, thanks heidi for finding this place, and actually cut down our tree this year. It was so much fun, and we absolutely love our tree. I love walking into my house and having the tree make everything smell so good! Just thought I'd share some fun photos from our venture out to the tree farm!

A quite moment to celebrate the two of you.

Hey there!
So, I wanted to share another one of our little photographer "tips" if you will! We just wanted to share why we feel it is so important to take some time on your wedding day for just the two of you, and well, us! ;) Most couples have spent an entire year planning out their wedding day - from the hair and dress, to the ceremony to the cake cutting, to how you will say good bye. I hope that I have conveyed to you, during our times together, that it is also so wonderful to plan a small time during your day for us to sneak away and take some photos of just the two of you. We, of course, are there from beginning to end capturing all your wonderful moments, but I honestly feel it is so important to spend a little time, or a lot of time, on just the two of you. And all my previous couples always say that those were their favorite photos.
usually how your wedding day works is it starts as you spend the time before a part from each other getting ready, you finally see each other during your ceremony, immediately after- usually - are the formals of all your families and then straight into the reception with lots of guests to say hello too, and reception activities that sometimes you can find yourselves a part more then together.
So firstly, I suggest making some time because it really is a special time for just the two of you- its your quite moment. A moment with no moms, dads, no bridessmaids or groomsmen, no many many guests. Just you two.
A quite moment to celebrate the two of you.
It also allows us to have that time to take some marvelous photos. If we have 10 minutes or 30 minutes or one hour- that is such wonderful photo time, and allows us to create those photos that truly do represent the couple you became. In some cases we stay near by your wedding, and in some cases we venture off! For example, in the photos below Cortney and Liam ventured off to the square right around the corner from their venue. WE had such a wonderful time with them, and hopefully captured a lot of special moments of just the two of them.
Hopefully this helps inspire you to allow some time for just the two of you!

Caitlin + Chris

Hey friends!
So a while ago I went with Caitlin and Chris to the Big Tree Forest Preserve and hiked around taking their engagements photos. I really didn't know going into it I was going to get the work out I did! **I'm still wondering how Caitlin did in her cutie shoes!" But we had such a wonderful time and honestly that was one of the prettiest secrets in atlanta. If you haven't been- pack yourself a picnic and go for a visit!!

good friends

over thanksgiving weekend, I ventured up to NC to photograph an engagement session for my June 21st couple, and for the first time in a long long time i was able to stay with some very dear friends over my stay!! One of the hardest things to do is visit with all the people I want to when I go to my hometown because we have all our family and friends there, and in most cases family takes up most of my time. So, it was soo good to just spend some good time with friends! Here are a few photos of us while I was trying to talk Lauren and Shawn into getting a mac- and I think I might have convinced them! Hahaha! or I might have wierded them out!
Lauren and Shawn- thanks so much for your hospitality! I had such a wonderful time catching up with you guys!!
