Ann + Jason

Ann and Jason invited us to photograph their wedding in the beautiful tennessee mountains. Ann's parents have a cabin in Gatinburg, and this is where Ann spent her summers growing up. So, for them it was more like having a wedding at home while for the rest of us it gave us a chance to escape to the peaceful smokies.
One of my favorite parts of the evenings was during the toasts, where Jason was sharing his thanks to everyone, he paused for a moment and ended with- I was so fortunate because they say behind every great man is a great woman, and I had five great women- giving thanks to his mom, three sisters, and ann. I would say that is definitely a lot of women to be surrounded by, and it was obvious that Jason is a caring and wonderful man.
Ann and Jason, we are so thankful that you would allow us to be there to celebrate with the two of you. Your families were overwhelmingly generous in the care they gave us during our stay and certainly made us feel like one of the fam.
We absolutely loved your wedding, and we know all the hard work you both and your families put into getting all of it together. We hope that you are taken back to that wonderful day in february through your photos. thank you again,

| As always, I love photographing the shoes! Ann had her shoes custom designed by the designer Ann Roth . They were absolutely perfect for her, and I loved how simple and unique they were! I know I would LOVE a pair! |
| Another part of the day that was my absolute favorite was taking ann around her parent's cabin to get some awesome shots of her in her dress. I just LOVED how rustic everything was. |

Last week Colby and I got to go on a little vacation to see our family in San Diego and I REALLY took WAY too many pictures. I just couldn't help myself! How could I put my camera down for a second when my little nephew is this cute?
Jack loves his bubbles. He has this really cool bubble machine that makes a lot of bubbles all at once! It was so cute because he would run around with his little baseball bat trying to pop them all. It was the cutest thing ever! Check out thelindsays to see more of our Easter weekend. I hope you enjoy!!

The top 20!

Hi there!
We are going to start a series called the Top 20!! We are going to answer the Top 20 BURNING questions that we are asked in regards to weddings and photography! Questions like- Are day or night weddings better? To see each other before hand or not? Does decor really matter? Winter or Summer? Destinations? All those great questions, that we hope will help as you are planning your wedding!
We would also love to hear what your what your questions are too! Is there one you have just been dying to ask someone who has been to A LOT of weddings! If you have one or two or three even- leaves us a comment or send us email! We will be starting tomorrow and continuing the series over the next few weeks! Did you know..... that The Knot Rocks?
Well they do!
Look what showed up at the front door today! We got a sneak peak of The Knot Best of Weddings 2008 and we are in it! This issue is one that you will soon be able to find on the eastcoast, westcoast, midwest, southwest AND the southeast (hahahah). It is just such an amazing feeling to have our work printed in a nationaly recognized magazine!
